Getting listed in Tweeple of India

To get listed in Tweeple of India Follow @tweepleindia

All new users are put into a review list, and once the user has been validated as Indian, will then be added to Tweeple of India. To improve your chances of being accepted to the list, here are a few pointers: If located in India set a valid location in your twitter profile (preferably containing 'India'). Set your twitter profile image. Interaction with other tweeple of India can help us ascertain that there is enough Indian in you to be part of this list. :P

Searching Tweeple

Tweeple search allows you to scan for users listed in Tweeple of India by attributes like twitter username, location, and description. Here are a few sample queries:

• Find karmadude
• Find tweeple in Bangalore
• Find web designers

Search operators can be used to further refine your search. Here are all the available search operators:

1. gender:male | gender:female – find all male or female tweeple
2. passport:indian | passport:nri | passport:pio – find by passport status: Indian, NRI, or PIO
3. source:tweetie – find by application source used to tweet.
4. age:42 | age:>42 | age:<42 – find by age

All search results can be further sorted by follower count, following count, tweet count, favourites count, date user joined Twitter, or when the user was added to Tweeple of India. For tweeting search results, retweet links are provided above the search results.

Tagging

Tagging capability is available to authorized and signed in users. A signed in user can add multiple tags to their profile page. The tags section can be found in the sidebar on the user profile page. For example see karmadude's profile. Tagging is a good way to further define your twitter profile beyond the current capabilities of twitter. Tags can also be used to improve your findability within Tweeple of India.

Updating Your Data

Due to access rate limits to the twitter API, we are currently unable to keep your data updated on a regular basis. Only the top 5,000 users are updated daily. However, if you have signed in and authorized tweeple.in as an application, then your profile will be updated each time you login. Or you can use the refresh link to update your twitter data that's available on this site. Each time you refresh, your personal twitter access rate limit of 150 calls per hour, will be reduced by one call.
